YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, NOYAN TAPAN. This year the Armenian government will provide gratis 1,400 tons of seeds of barley, corn, and some herbs for spring sowing to the marzes afflicted by drought. Head of the Plant Cultivation Department of the RA Ministry of Agriculture told NT correspondent that there is no necessary stock of high-quality seeds in the country now, so seeds will be imported. According to him, last year landusers were provided 3,490 tons of wheat seeds for autumn sowing.
