YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN. According to the Agency of the State Legal Entities and Private Businessmen Register of the RA Ministry of Justice, since the beginning of 2006, 1,752 legal entities and 4,791 private businessmen (including family enterprises) were put on the register, with their total number making 53,220 and 64,687 respectively. According to the RA National Statistical Service, as of August 1, 2005, 52,146 legal entities and 70,291 private businessmen were registered. In 2006, 947 legal entities and 11,765 private businessmen were liquidated. In 2006, investments of about 13 bln 401 mln drams (over 30.45 mln USD) were made ny 1,752 legal entities. Investments of 666.43 mln drams were made in the enterprises set up only by foreign legal entities and citizens, and investments of 334.77 mln drams were made in 87 joint ventures.
