YEREVAN, January 26 (Noyan Tapan). The Armenian Championship on "Russian Pyramide" Billiard of the veteran billiard players was held at the World Federation Club of Armenian Billiard Players (the Yerevan Sport and Concert Complex). The tournaments were held by the half-Olympic system: participants, who have two defeats, dropped out of the contention. Samvel Aristakesian (Etchmiadzin) won in the 3-day contention of 16 billiard players. Armenian many-times champion Ruben Potikian (Yerevan) placed second, Garush Asatrian (Yerevan) placed third. All the prize holders and distinguished participants were awarded with diplomas of gratitude, and sponsors - the Billiard Federation and the "Arena" entertainment center, gave them monetary prizes.
