ARMENIAN CHILDREN RECEIVE MEDALS AND DIPLOMAS IN "DELPHIC
GAMES" HELD ON DEC 12-16 IN KIEV

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 21, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. The
Armenian children took an active part and received medals on
various nominations in the "Delphic Games" held on December
12-16 in Kiev. As Artur Poghosian, RA Deputy Minister of Culture
and Youth Affairs, informed at the December 21 press conference,
the Armenian children received gold medals on the "Pantomime"
and "Placard" nominations and a silver and two bronze medals on
the nominations of the "Orchestra Bow Instrument," "Folk Dance,"
and "Academic Song" and diplomas on another six nominations.
A.Poghosian mentioned that representatives of Russia and
the Ukraine received the greatest number of prizes as they had
3-4 performers on every nomination and the Ukrainians performed
especially on nominations, "where they are better."
It was also mentioned that it was proposed that the 2007
"Delphic Games" be held in Armenia, which, according to
A.Poghosian, apparently, will be fulfilled.
