21 ARMENIAN CHESS-PLAYERS TO PARTICIPATE IN WORLD CHESS

YEREVAN, November 4 (Noyan Tapan). The World Chess
Championship among juniors will be held in Crete Island of
Greece on November 4-14. Ten tournaments will be held
simultaneously, the winners will be determined in five age
groups of girls and boys: 10, 12, 14, 16 and 18. 21 Armenian
chess-players will participate in the Championship in Crete.
In all the age groups of the World Junior Championship the
tournaments will be held on the Swiss system, with 11 days.
To recap, Armenian representatives performed successfully
in the 2004 European Junior Championship: they won by one gold
and one silver medals. To all probability, the Armenian boys and
girls will also participate successfully this time.
