YEREVAN, August 24 (Noyan Tapan). The "Silky Way" second exhibition-sale of the samples of the Armenian modern applied art will be held at the Terjan hotel in Yerevan on September 10. The works of Nune Aghbalian, professor of the Yerevan State Art Academy, and designer Gevorg Shadoyan will be exhibited there. The collection of these works will be presented in Armenia for the first time. They will also be exhibited during an exhibition in Boston (the United States) in October. This sphere of art, which is called "batique", or "painting on fabric" obtained the great recognition in Armenia mainly due to Nune Aghbalian. Besides Armenia the professor also exhibited her works in Russia, France, Germany, Austria and a number of other countries.
