RUSSIAN CULTURAL DAYS TO BE HELD IN ARMENIA MAY 26-30

YEREVAN, April 19 (Noyan Tapan). Russian cultural days in
Armenia will start with gala-concerts at the Cultural Center
after Karen Demirchian on May 26. According to the Press Office
of the RA Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs, Nadezhda
Babkina and the "Russkaya Pesnya" ("Russian Song") group, the
"Vivaldi" orchestra and "Phonograph Jazz-Band" group, and the
ballet theater of classical dance art will be performing during
the May 26-30 cultural days.
Famous humorists Semyon Altov and Efim Shifrin will also
participate in the Russian cultural days. The Armenian
spectators will have an opportunity to watch the performaces of
the Moscow "Igrok" ("Player") theater at the Russian Dramatic
Theater after Al. Stanislavsky these days.
In addition, Russian Cinema Days will be held and an
exhibition of Chairman of the Painters' Union of Russia V.
Sidorov entitled "On Hot Ground" wil open at the exhibition hall
of the Painters' Union of Armenia.
According to the same source, Russian art will also be
shown in Gyumri, Spitak and Vanadzor these days: Nadezhda
Babkina and Efim Shifrin will perform in Gyumri on Apirl 27 and
28, in Vanadzor and Spitak on April 29.
