From October 6 to 9 RA Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan paid a working visit to British Columbia state of Canada and on October 6, in the capital city Victoria the usual session of the Parliament begins with congratulations on the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence. On the same day the Ambassador had a number of visits with the state officials, as well as with the parliament speaker, the Ministers of Natural resources, Education, and Mulitculturalism and with many members of the parliament. RA Ambassador thanked for the adopition of the resolution on the recongition of the Armenian Genocide by the state in 2006. The issues referring to the development of trade economic ties between Armenia and Canada, as well as the promotion of cooperation in the fields of culture and education were discussed during the meetings. In Vancouver Armenian Ambassador got acquinated with the Armenian community, visited Armenian Sunday school. On October 8 the event devoted to the 20th anniversary of Armenia's independence took place in "Armenian Center" in Vancouver which main speaker was Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan. As the press office of the RA Foreign Affairs, on October 9 the festive liturgy was offered in St. Vardan Armenian Apostolic Church in Vancouver.
