GLENDALE, 9 OCTOBER, NOYAN TAPAN-ARMENIANS TODAY: The Boston-based "Sayat-Nova" dance group will tour Glendale with its two-hour long "Power in Rhythm" program. The "Sayat Nova" dance group was founded in 1986 in Boston by Abo Ashchian. The group has performed in the USA and Canada and in 1995 and it has toured in Yerevan, Stepanakert and other Armenian cities. As reported by "Asbarez" daily, Abo Ashchian has visited Armenia 25 times. He received his qualifications in Armenia and created the "Sayat Nova" dance group in Boston. Ashchian is also the founder of the “Abaka Armenian School for the Performing Artist” center where he teaches Armenian dance to 3-16-year old students. Dance is becoming more and more popular day by day with the accompaniment of song and music, performing arts and rhythm.
