HIGHFEST INTERNATIONAL PERFORMING ARTS FESTIVAL STARTS IN
YEREVAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 5, NOYAN TAPAN. The 4th Highfest
international performing arts festival started on October 4 at
the Hovh.Toumanian Puppet Theater with the performance entitled
"Everything about Money" of the Moscow "Practice" theater.
Before that the journalists met with Levan Khetaguri, the
Pro-Rector of the Tbilisi State Theater and Cinema University,
the Chairman of the "Caucasian" foundation, Maarten Regouin, the
Chairman of the European League of the Institutes of Arts, and
with Eduard Boyakov, the "Practice" artistic head.
In the guests' words, Highfest is the 4th in the world in
its type, after the festivals of Edinburgh, Avignon and Sibiu.
This festival being held already for the 4th year became known
and is every time presented to spectators with new names and
unprecedently increasing number of participants. They mentioned
that culture develops in all the post-Soviet countries, icluding
Russia, in the same way as in Armenia.
They especially attached importance to the master's courses
being held during the festival days as well as to seminars
dedicated to ways of organizing art management.
