KAPAN, SEPTEMBER 19, NOYAN TAPAN. By the decision of Kapan community council of elders, Alber Karamanukian, doctor at Glendale hospital, was given the title of Honorable Citizen of Kapan for his active participation in cooperation between Glendale (U.S.) - Kapan (RA) sister cities. This was informed by Noyan Tapan correspondent from Kapan. And Artin Manukian, Co-chairman of Sister Cities Board Committee, was given Kapan gold memorial medal by the order of Kapan Mayor Armen Karapetian. The American Armenian doctor said that he has received many awards, but this is the first one he receives in Armenia. "This is the merit of all my friends, my perished and injured friends, at the price of whose blood Syunik and Artsakh were kept," A.Manukian said at the award giving ceremony.
