YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, NOYAN TAPAN. The National Association of Bodyguards (NAB) of the Republic of Armenia participated in the practical programs within the framework of the 11th international forum "The Security Technologies" held in Moscow on February 7-10. The association members told reporters on February 13 that issues related to the fight on global terrorism and some other issues were discussed during the event. The forum took place with the assistance of the RF State Duma's Security Committee and was attended by government members, representatives of the RF Presidential Administration, Ministry of Interior Affairs and the Federal Security Service, and representatives and heads of the nonstate private security organizations, the social sector and a number of ministries. According to NAB members, the purpose of their participation in the forum was to receive more information about the global security problems, modern technologies, as well as about the nonstate, private security programs which will be useful for the forming and development of private security in Armenia. In response to reporters' questions, the press conference participants said that the National Association has 30 qualified body-guards. They pointed out the absence of appropriate laws as the main obstacle to development of the sector in the country.
