YEREVAN, DECEMBER 14, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. "Cry from Ararat: Armin Wegner and Armenians' Genocide" book of Italian famous scientist and writer Giovanni Guaita which was published in Moscow recently and an exhibition formed on the basis of documentary materials presented in this book will be presented at the "Gevorgian" exhibition hall of Yerevan on December 15. Giovanni Guaita visited Yerevan by the invitation of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun Supreme Body of Armenia. Presentation of the show took place in the hall of the Culture Fund of Russia on May 31. This was organized by the Moscow Hay Dat Office and the Culture Fund of Russia. As Noyan Tapan was informed by the ARF Supreme Body's Information Department, the show consists of 25 large stands of special design three of which present Wegner, three present chronology of the Genocide (periods of Abdul-Hamid, young Turks and Kemal), 15 ones present photos and diaries created by Wegner in 1915-1916, two ones present Wegner's political and literary activity. The map of Armenians' displacing and other foreign supporters of Armenians are represented on separate stands. Giovanni Guaita, an Italian scientist and writer, Assistant Professor of the Moscow Linguistic University is famous as a researcher of history of Eastern Christian churches. G,Guaita is the author of three books on the Armenian theme: "Man's Life: Meeting of Heaven and Earth. Talks with Karekin I Catholicos of All Armenians" (Moscow, 1999), "1700 Years of Faithfullness: History of Armenia and its Churches" (Moscow, 2001, re-published in 2005), "Cry from Ararat: Armin Wegner and Armenians' Genocide" (Moscow, 2005). He works on a book dedicated to Armenians' foreign supporters at present. The "Yunistroy" publishing house implemented edition of the book "Cry from Ararat: Armin Wegner and Armenians' Genocide" and republication of the book "1700 Years of Faithfullness: History of Armenia and its Church." This publishing house started edition of the series of "Armenian Historical Novel" and "Poetry of Armenia" It's the first time that the Armenian literature is presented to readers of the CIS countries in Russian. Samvel Ghazarian, the Director of this publishing house, cared Yerevan visit and existence expenses of G.Guaita.
