YEREVAN (NT,DPA) - Suspected separatists were blamed Monday
for two bombing attacks on the French Mediterranean island of
Corsica. Targets of the attacks, which caused material damage
but injured no one, were offices of the French ferry company
Societe Nationale Corse-Mediterranee (SNCM) in the cities of
Bastia and Porto Vecchio. Leaflets found at the scene of the
bombings and claiming responsibility for them were signed by a
little known group calling itself "Fronte ribellu" which said it
operates independently of other natioalist and separatist
organizations. Bombing attacks, mostly by the mainstream
separatist FNLC organization, have been directed at public
institutions in Corsica for the past several nights.
