FILM-MAKER HARUTYUN KHACHATRIAN TO BE PRESENTED WITH PRINCE
KLAUS FUND AWARD ON DECEMBER 14

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 22, NOYAN TAPAN. The founding director of
the international festival "Golden Apricot", film-maker Harutyun
Khachatrian has become the 2007 recipient of the Prince Klaus
Fund Award. On December 14, the respresentative of the Dutch
embassy will hand the award certificate and a monetary prize of
25 thousand euros to the Armenian film-maker.
H. Khachatrian told NT correspondent that he was given an
award of the Price Klaus Fund for promoting the dialog on
conflicts and cultures. According to him, every year this award
is conferred on workers of the cultural sphere who have
contributed to development of democracy and arts.
To recap, H. Khacharian is the second Armenian artist to
receive this high award of the Netherlands. In 2005, the actor
Mikael Poghosian received a Prince Klaus Fund Award for
satirical characters created by him on the stage and screen.
