MINNEAPOLIS, AUGUST 4, NOYAN TAPAN. The bridge passing over the Mississippi river collapsed in the centre of Minneapolis (Minnesota area) in the United States of America on August 1, as a result of which seven people died and over 60 people were injured, according to the peliminary data. The disaster happened in the evening. Tens of cars fell into the river. Every day over 200 thousand cars crossed the bridge, which was built in 1962. Search and rescue measures are still being taken on the scene of accident. Costruction measures are assumed to have caused the collapse. The hypothesis of a terrorist act is excluded.
