YEREVAN, JULY 18, NOYAN TAPAN. The Highway Cycling Championship of Armenia was held from July 13 to 15 and sixty sportsmen took part (including inhabitants of Artsakh). Edgar Gevorgian became champion in the 25km individual and 110km group race among the adults. Correspondingly, Sergey Poghosian and Gevorg Arakelian were recognized as the best youths in the same kinds of sport. Sergey Sarkisov (in the adult competition) and David Mkrtchian (in the youth competition) took first place in the "criterium" of 30 km with 10 intermediate finish lines. Suren Petrosian surpassed everybody in the "criterium" of 21km with seven intermediate finish lines, in the 60km group, as well as in the 8km individual youth race.
