YEREVAN, JULY 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The quarter final matches of
the European Young Boxers' Championship were held in the city of
Siophok in Hungary on June 28. The Armenian representative,
Tigran Armenakian (74kg, Yerevan), defeated his Romanian rival,
reached the final stage, and secured at least a bronze medal for
himself. The other boxers of Armenia did not qualify to get
medals.
