PARIS, JUNE 7, NOYAN TAPAN. The first tour of the
parliamentary elections in France will take place on June 10.
7640 candidates will run for 577 seats in Parliament.
To recap, about 44.5 mln people have suffrage in France.
This year the parliamentary elections, taking place every 5
years in France, stand out with the record index of women
candidates. According to the data of Central Electoral
Commission, 3177 women (41.58%) and 4463 men (58.42%) will
struggle in the first stage.
Peoples' Movement Union ruling party is expected to make
prevailing majority in the parliament.
The second tour of the elections will take place on June
17.
