YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA NA adopted in the 2nd reading and completely at the November 29 special sitting the legislative package on making amendments to the acting laws "On Great Patriotic War Veterans" and "On Social Security of Servicemen and their Family Members." According to it, the size of financial aid given to people of the mentioned category instead of some privileges will be fixed from now on by the RA Government's decision, but not by the law, not to make a legislative amendment every time. The Great Patriotic War participants will be given from January 1, 2007, 3800 drams, instead of present 3000 drams, to get use of electricity and transport, the Great Patriotic War invalids, people made equal to them and widows of ones died in the war and their children, invalid from childhood will be given 5700 drams (instead of 4500 drams of the present) to pay for communal services. The sizes of financial aid to servicemen become invalid and families of died servicemen will also be raised from January 1, 2007: they will be given 7500 drams monthly instead of present 6000 drams. If the number of members of a died serviceman's family is more than 5, 2500 drams, instead of present 2000 drams (about 5.3 U.S. dollars), will additionally be given for every person more than 5.
