YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 15, NOYAN TAPAN. The exhibition opened on November 14 at the National Library of Armenia (NLA) is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Levon Ananian, the Chairman of the Writers' Union of Armenia (WUA), a publicist, translator. His all collections, articles published in press, photos, copies of translations of his works into Russian, English and other languages are involved in the exhibition. In his words, L.Ananian returned the Writers' Union its one-time status with energetic and persistent seccession. L.Ananian's fellow-writer friends also mentioned that the "Garun" (spring) magazine escaped during the fierce years of 1990s owing to L.Ananian. In their words, if L.Ananian did not exist, "Garun" enjoying great popularity today and forming literary thinking" would not exist, either. L.Ananian was rewarded with Hakob Meghapart's medal for services to the Armenian literature, book publishing, propaganda of book and on the occasion of his 60th anniversary. The medal was given to him by NLA Director D.Sargsian. The WUA Chairman was given diploma of the RA State Language Inspectorate as well.
