YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 8, NOYAN TAPAN. The Prosecutors General
of Armenia and Kazakhstan signed an agreement on cooperation on
November 7 in Astana. As Sona Truzian, the Press Secretary of
the RA Prosecutor's General informed the Noyan Tapan
correspondent, by the agreement the sides were obliged to
cooperate in the direction of warning, prevention, revealing,
exposing and examination of crimes. Particularly, it is spoken
about crimes like terrorism, crimes against the mankind, illegal
circulation of armament and drugs, crimes addressed against the
constitutional order and state security, organization of illegal
immigration, trafficking, economic crimes, crimes addressed
against property, security of environment, corruption and
organized crimes. By the agreement the sides agreed to regulate
exchange of information.
At the same time, the Press Secretary of the RA Prosecutor
General disproved the information published in the November 7
issue of the "Haykakan Zhamanak" (Armenian Time) daily about the
envisaged resignation of RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepian
for his being engaged in political activity. "A.Hovsepian has
stated many times that he is not engaged in policy and has no
intention to be engaged." S.Truzian mentioned.
