YEREVAN, OCTOBER 11, NOYAN TAPAN. The Russian company MTC
refuted the information that the Arab consortium Emirates
Telecommunications Corporation (ETISALAT)/Istithmar
PJSC/Emergent Telecom Ventures (ETV) has won the tender for sale
of 90% of ArmenTel company's shares belonging to the Greek
company OTE.
The spokesman for MTC Kirill Alyardin told Radio Liberty
that the company is sure that it will win the tender.
"Experts' confidence that MTC will win is based on the fact
that MTC is the leader of the Russian mobile communication
market so it has enough chances to win this tender. For this
very reason we are participating in the tender," he said.
According to him, the tender organizers will announce the
results at the end of this week.
