YEREVAN, OCTOBER 10, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA National Assembly deputy Hakob Hakobian together with his guards committed an act of hoologanism with the use of firearms in the territory of the gas distribution station of ArmRusgazprom CJSC in the village of Hayanist (Ararat marz) on October 8 at about 6 pm. According to spokeswoman for the Ra Prosecutor General Sona Truzian, this act of hooliganism was combined with violence committed against some persons ensuring the security of the gas distribution station who tried to prevent the illegal use of gas at the gas filling points owned by H. Hakobian. Four persons received injuries of various degrees of severity during the incident. A criminal case was opened on the same day by the prosecutor's office of Ararat marz under Article 258 Part 4 of the RA Criminal Code. On the instructions of the RA Prosecutor General, the preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Office of the RA Prosecutor General. In accordance with the requirements of Article 129 of the RA Criminal Court Procedure Code, the NA deputy H. Hakobian was arrested on October 8, 2006 and is currently at Yerevan-Kentron custody establishment. L. Barseghian, head of H. Hakobian's group of guards, D. Nersisian and Kh. Hayrapetian, employees of the gas filling points, were arrested as well. The police were assigned to take steps in order to find the accomplices and witnesses of the crime and to discover the weapons used in committing the crime. The investigation is underway.
