The football national team of Armenia left for the competition place on early October 9. The national team of Armenia performed a drawn game, 0:0, with the national team of Finland on October 7 in Yerevan, and fixed the first unit on its account. The Finland-Armenia meeting is scheduled for November 15. Meetings of the combined team of Armenia with other national teams are scheduled for 2007. To recap, teams of Kazakhstan, Portugal, Azerbaijan, Poland and Belgium are also involved in the first group in which Armenia performs as well.
