YEREVAN, OCTOBER 3, NOYAN TAPAN. A group of employees of secondary, sports, music and art schools as well as of kindergartens of the capital were awarded with the Yerevan Mayor's diplomas and monitary prizes on October 1, on the occasion of the Teacher's Day. As Kamo Areyan, the First Deputy Mayor stated at the reception organized in the Mayor's Office on October 2, pedagogues have a great contribution in the affair of prospering of the country and nation as well as improvement of the educational system. K.Areyan mentioned that the sphere of education is paid special attention and attached importance by the Mayor. Particularly, voluminous works of school building are being implemented in the capital at present. K.Areyan also mentioned that financing of comprehensive, vocational and special schools from the 2007 state budget will make 11.5 bln drams (about 29 mln U.S. dollars) what is more by 4 bln, compared with 2006.
