YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. The company Village
Group was founded in Lori marz in 2000. It produces 160-200 tons
of cheese of various types - Lori, Tashir, Chanach and Cechil
annually. The company director Khachik Dumikian told NT
correspondent that 50% of Village Group's production is
exported, particularly to Russia, Georgia and the US.
According to KH. Dumikian, the company has its own
cattle-breeding and pig farms, and a slaughterhouse with modern
equipment was put into operation last year. Its production is
mostly consumed by the local population: 10-15 head of neat
cattle are slaughtered a day, with their meat mainly being
supplied to military units. "We should do everything to provide
our population with ecologically pure meat processed in proper
sanitary and hygienic conditions," Kh. Dumikian said.
