YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 29, NOYAN TAPAN. The RA Ministry of Labour and Social issues works out at present a new order, according to which years of disability of people who became invalid because of professional diseases and occupational injuries will be considered insurance experience. As Anahit Gevorgian, the Deputy Chief of the Department for Invalids' and Elderly People's Problems of the Ministry informed the Noyan Tapan correspondent, it is envisaged that the new order will start fundtioning from 2007. Besides, in her words, when reviewing the Poverty Reduction Strategic Program, the Ministry proposed to define benefit for care of an invalid: thus, a person taking care of an inavlid who does not work will get benefit from now on. A.Gevorgian mentioned that average sum of invalids' pension makes 10200 drams (about 25.5 U.S. doolars), 4250 drams of which are the basis pension. In her words, up to 50% increase of the pension for disability is envisaged till 2010. A.Gevorgian mentioned that invalids' social service and care are implemented in home and stationary conditions. The Republic Center for Alone Elderly People's and Invalids' Social Service implements social service in home conditions. Two stationary institutions for invalids' care and service function in the republic: one of them is the Gyumri Boarding House for Elderly People and Invalids where 150 invalids are taken care at present, the other is the Vardenis Neural-Psycological Boarding House, which is, by the way, the only one in the republic, 370 invalids suffering only from mental disease are taken care here at present. A.Gevorgian mentioned that places of this boarding school are not enough and it is envisaged to complete them with other 20-30 ones this year.
