Vrezh Barseghian, 48, of the city of Kapan, surrendered himself to the police of Syunik marz, confessing that he killed Alexander Hayrapetian, resident of the same city, on September 10. In the words of the chief investigator of the Syunik Prosecutor's Office Manas Karapetian, no charges have been brought against V. Barseghian yet, but the suspect made a confession, according to which he killed A. Hayrapetain in the public lavatory of the children's park in Kapan on September 10 at about 4:00 pm. The investigator did not say how much money was stolen from the victim. NT correspondent reported from Kapan that the suspect was registered at the Syunik psychiatric dispensary. V. Barseghian himself said that "when I am in a fit, I don't know what I am doing." However, he will undergo a medical examination that will show in what mental state he was at the moment of the crime. In connection with the murder, a criminal case was opened under Article 104 Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
