EXHIBITION DEDICATED TO JOHN KIRAKOSIAN OPENS IN NATIONAL
LIBRARY OF ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 20, NOYAN TAPAN. Statesman, politician,
Doctor of History Sciences John Kirakosian's scientific heritage
is presented in the exhibition opened at the National Library of
Armenia (NLA) on June 16. The historian's articles published in
the Armenian and Diasporan Armenian press which are kept in
storehouses of the library are exhibited.
J.Kirakosian was one of Armenian historians who published
during the Soviet years works dedicated to the Armenian
Genocide. Documents concerning the Armenian cause and involving
1828-1923 are involved in the collected works "Armenia in
International Diplomacy and Soviet Foreign Policy" authored by
him. Then the "Bourgeois Diplomacy and Armenia" two-volume
edition was published. The work "Young Turks Facing Reprisal of
History" is of especially important meaning. By this work,
J.Kirakosian presented the tragic reality of the Armenian
Genocide to the international community.
According to NLA Director David Sargsian, J.Kirakosian left
such a great heritage which is even today made use of both by
scientists and students. According to him, J.Kirakosian's name
will always remain bright in the Armenian people's memory as his
contribution in the Armenian history is great.
