GAVAR, JUNE 2, NOYAN TAPAN. Active rehearsals have been in process for about a month in the Gavar State Dramatic Theater after Levon Kalantar: the creative group of the theatar is preparing for the July 3 festival. It is dedicated to prominent actress Metaksia Simonsian's 80th birthday anniversary and will be held at the Gabriel Sundukian National Academic Theater. Actors of Gavar will perform Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage" play. As Garnik Poghosian, the Chief Director of the theater mentioned in the interview to the Noyan Tapan correspondent, women's images are mainly stated. The performance will be called "Women and the War." Before rehearsals, the actors have fear relating to success in staging the play. "Maybe, the most important one of reasons for fear is provided by the fact that we do not play for years," RA Honourary Actress Anahit Movsisian mentions with sorrow and adds that they were last on the stage in spring, 2005. The premiere of the "Women and the War" performance will take place in Gavar on June 10-15, before the festival to take place in Yerevan.
