YEREVAN, APRIL 29, NOYAN TAPAN. With the financing of French Armenian benefactors Gerard and Roland Markosians, the surgical department of Arabkir medical complex was repaired. Two new surgical rooms for laparoscopic and orthodepic surgery and intensive care were added to the complex. Director of the complex Ara Babloyan stated during the repaired department's opening ceremony on April 28 that the operating room has been fitted with modern medical equipment. He noted that Gerard Markosian is the Director of the Armenian Office of the charity organization "Aznavour to Armenia". According to the head of the surgical department Khachatur Kyurkchian, more than 800 operations and 12 renal transplantaions were performed at the hospital last year. The French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Cuny and the RA Minister of Health Norayr Davidian attended the opening ceremony.
