YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 25, NOYAN TAPAN. Singer Aram Asatrian
denied accusations against him as "gossips". He stated this at a
press conference in Yerevan on February 24.
There have been reports in the Armenian press that the
singer "helps" Armenian migrants to get documents and visas in
the US, however, not all of them succeeded in obtaining these
documents even in case of paying a large amount of money. "They
say that the phone numbers of lawyers, whose services are
available for those who have suffered from Aram Asatrian's
"activity", are broadcast on television," the daily "Aravot"
reported.
Aram Asatrian said that he is harassed by various gossips:
he "died" twice, and recently he "married" a Russian star. In
his words, the US is a "clear" country, so it is just impossible
to engage in illegal activities of such a kind. Neither the
singer hinself nor his children have a green card. "If it were
true, I'd help my children, so there is no such thing, it is
ruled out, mere gossips." He also denied the rumors that his
sons are wanted by police, and announced that his younger son
will arrive from Krasnodar in a few hours - he is coming from
the US, "if he is wanted, let everybody know it and go to meet
him."
At the same time, he noted that he has no intention to sue
those who have spread such gossips: he "has no time to go to
courts".
