YEREVAN, DECEMBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN. Demand of qualified
computer programmers, clerks, tranlators (especially of
English), insurance agents, brockers, doctors, pedagogues,
turners, welders, milling-machine operators, carpet makers and
of specialists of the service sphere is high at the labour
exchange of Armenia. As the Noyan Tapan correspondent was
informed by the "RA Employment Agency" of the RA Ministry of
Labour and Social Issues, vacancies for some specialities remain
vacant mainly because of low salary.
In October 2005, 1109 vacancies were presented to the
agency by employers , 306 of those jobs were of the sphere of
service, 803 were workers' ones. Among them 71.5% of vacant
places are for working specialities requiring high
qualification. Those aren't occupied continuously for months
because of absence of necessary specialists at the job market or
of a low qualification of those present. Only 296 vacancies were
occupied till the end of the month.
