YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 2, NOYAN TAPAN. The delegation led by Eugenio Campo, chief official of the Development Cooperation Department of the Italian Foreign Ministry, intends to submit proposals of implementing programs in the sphere of health protection and agriculture to RA government. At the November 1 press conference dedicated to Italian delegation's 2-day visit to Armenia within the framework of the International Italian Cooperation Day marked on October 31, E.Campo noted that, in particular, they will propose to implement a joint program, according to which an Italian surgical company suggests retraining young surgeons in Armenia and Italy. The Italian side suggests establishing a joint venture on production of main medical preparations in Armenia including it in the general system of medicine distribution. Another program concerns creation of an online system between small and medium agricultural processing enterprises. The members of the Italian delegation expressed satisfaction with opportunities of scientific cooperation with Armenia. Armenian scientists will be suggested working at an international scientific center in the Italian city of Triest. In the opinion of the Italian side, cooperation in the sphere of astronomy and applied radars can be also effective. At the press conference it was mentioned that a humanitarian aid amounting to 1 mln euros (granulated sugar, flour, etc.) will be sent from Italy to Armenia one of these days. The aid will be distributed among 10 communities having suffered from hail and frosts.
