YEREVAN, October 18 (Noyan Tapan). The personal exhibition of well-known artist Armine Kalents was opened at the exhibition hall of the Academy of Fine Arts of Yerevan on October 15. Over 30 works of the artist were presented at the exhibition entitled "Ani Nikol's Flowers". According to artist Hakob Hakobian, there are few real genious people, and A. Kalents is one these people, who left trail in the Armenian art. "Her dignity is quite great in our art, and it is pleasant that she continues to create beautiful paintings in this age," he said. According to painter Saro Kalents, Armine Kalents's son, it was difficult for his mother to create side by side with her husband, great artist Harutiun Kalents. Nevertheless, according to him, the artist could creat paintings, which became innovation in the Armenian fine arts. She also said that a museum after Harutiun and Armine Kalents will be opened in Yerevan in the future. Armine Kalents herself remembers with emothion that before her marriage she was taught by Harutiun Kalents. And she has written books "Forgive me, Harutiun" and "Thoughts" about their life together. 85-year-old artist hopes that she will be able to create new paintings, because she has something to say.
