Geneva, 11 January 2012 – Journalists are invited to accredit now to attend ITU Connect Arab Summit, which takes place in Doha, Qatar from 5-7 March, 2012. This important regional technology summit will bring together leaders from countries right across the Arabic speaking world, including Heads of State and Government, Ministers, Heads of Regulatory Authorities, CEOs and other senior leaders from industry, regional and international organizations. It is being organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the specialized agency of the United Nations for information and communication technologies (ICTs), in partnership with the League of Arab States. The State of Qatar is hosting the event under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar.
