CENN: Go East! Apply Now for Contact-Making Youth Seminar in Lviv

Youth workers from the Eastern Partnership countries have until 12 February to apply for the ‘Go East!’ contact-making seminar in the Ukrainian city of Lviv, to take place from 4-9 March. The seminar aims to promote new opportunities for international youth cooperation within the EU’s Eastern Partnership Youth Window, working to develop international youth projects which involve young people from rural or deprived urban areas? A press release spells out the objectives as: Bringing together people working with young people in order to create new project ideas within the Youth in Action Programme; Creating an atmosphere of common understanding between people representing different cultures, working styles, etc.; Providing knowledge about the possibilities of cooperation within the Youth in Action Programme with special focus on Eastern Partnership Youth Window; Presenting examples of efficient and successful cooperation within Eastern Europe and the Caucasus; Building new partnerships between Programme countries and partners from Eastern Europe and the Caucasus with a clear commitment to provide support to young people with fewer opportunities living in rural or deprived urban areas. The "Go East!" seminar will bring together 40 voluntary and professional youth workers from the Youth in Action Programme Countries and Eastern Partership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine): participants will be youth leaders and project coordinators working directly with youngsters, who are interested in setting up Youth in Action projects for young people from rural or deprived urban areas. Applicants are requested to fill in the on-line application form. The call for participants will be open till 12 February 2012. The selected participants will be informed directly by 20 February 2012.
