Cafesjian Center for the Arts Announcing an open call for artists and designers to register for participation in a unique design competition! Design proposals are to focus on the incorporation of 159 ‘chunks’ of Swarovski crystal, of various colors and sizes, in a unique work proposed by the artist/designer. The winning design proposal will be commissioned from the artist/designer by the Cafesjian Center for the Arts for a fee to be determined by mutual agreement. To be considered for participation in the competition, artists and designers are requested to register with the Cafesjian Center for the Arts by submitting a letter of interest together with a curriculum vitae and portfolio to info@cmf.am before December 5, 2010. From the list of registered artists and designers, a shortlist will be selected to receive requests for design proposals. These participants will have an opportunity to review the Swarovski ‘chunks’ and submit their completed design proposals for competition review. Selection of the winning design proposal will be made by Gerard L. Cafesjian.
