YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 12, NOYAN TAPAN. On September 12, Foreign Affairs Minister Edward Nalbandian received Tina Kaidanow, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State of the USA. Welcoming the guest the Foreign Affairs Minister said that Armenia gives importance to the strengthening of friendly cooperation and partnership as well as deepening of meaningful relations with the USA. Both sides noted that in the recent period the Armenian-American relations have reached a qualitatively new level, signs of which were the Republic of Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit to Washington, D.C., meeting with the US President Barack Obama, as well as the Yerevan visit by Hillary Clinton, the Secretary of State of the USA. Minister Nalbandian and the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Kaidanow had a thorough talk about the further enlargement and possibilities of development in the Armenian-American relations. Tina Kaidanow in her turn noted that Armenia is an important partner for the United States, which looks forward to continue the cooperation with Armenia in the areas of supporing the economic development, implementation of reforms, fostering of stability in the region. Edward Nalbandian and Tina Kaidanow exchanged views about the recent developments in the negotiations of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
