YEREVAN, JULY 7, NOYAN TAPAN. A regular meeting of he
North-South Road Corridor investment program governing council
was held on July 2, chaired by council head, Prime Minister
Tigran Sargsyan.
NT was informed by the press service of the government that
the council discussed and approved the company lists for
first-tranche construction technical control and second-tranche
detailed engineering design activities.
North-South Road Corridor investment program implementing
entity's Chief Executive Director Felix Pirumian reported on the
second stage of the program concerning the alienation of real
estate by Ashatarak-Talin road section, which was taken note of
by the council.
The Prime Minister said that a number of items in the
technical proposal should be given a more accurate definition in
cooperation with the Ministry of Justice.
The governing council took note of the report on the
north-south road corridor investment program memorandum (first
and second tranches) as prepared by a mission of the Asian
Development Bank (ADB) which was in Yerevan from May 28 to June
4, 2010. The mission had monitored development and progress
under the first tranche and preparative work under the second
tranche.
The council discussed and took note of the annual cost
estimate report of North-South Road Corridor Implementing Entity
SNCO. Tigran Sargsyan instructed the Ministry of Finance to
allocate funds for the settlement of the first six months'
actual spending.
