YEREVAN, 25 JUNE, NOYAN TAPAN: On June 25, an opening ceremony of the square after M. Heratsi and his bust was held within the frames of events dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. Attending the event was RA Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration and chairperson of the committee in charge of the 90th anniversary of the university Armen Gevorgyan. By a June 23 decision by Yerevan’s council of elders, the square located at the Sharimanyan and Heratsi intersection will now be named after the 12th century prominent doctor Mkhitar Heratsi. As the Press Service of the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration informed “NT”, the bust was installed and the square was renovated by the initiative of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkh. Heratsi. The bust was prepared by Yura Petrosyan and the architect was Aslan Mkhitaryan.
