Pablo Picasso’s portraits of three different lovers became the most expensive work last night in London.
"Jeane fille endormie" by Pablo Picasso, depicting the artist's mistress, Marie-Therese Walter, was included in Christie's International's June 21 auction of Impressionist and Modern Art in London. It sold for $22 million.
"Femme assise, robe bleue" by Pablo Picasso. The work, depicting the artist's lover Dora Maar, is included in a 92-lot auction of Impressionist and Modern Art held by Christie's International in London on June 21. The work fetched 18 million pounds with fees.
