ANKARA, 18 MAY, NOYAN TAPAN-ARMENIANS TODAY: The mass which was scheduled to be held at Surp Khach Church on Akhtamar Island at Lake Van on September 12 has been postponed for a week. As reported by "Marmara", the mass has been postponed due to the pan-Turkish referendum which is scheduled for the same day. According to the press release by Van governorship, governor of Van Myunir Karaloglu mentioned that during his telephone conversation with president of the Spiritual Council of the Armenian Patriarchate of Istanbul, Archbishop Aram Ateshian. Karaloglu had suggested postponing the mass to September 19, to which Aram Ateshian gave his consent.
