“We have learnt with deep sorrow about the death of the Armenia’s Union of Writers Levon Ananyan.
Levon Ananyan was a great patriot and belonged to those sons of the Armenian nation who dedicated their life to the honorable mission of serving to the Motherland, living with its concerns, introducing the native land to the world.
Levon Ananyan’s input to the development of Armenian literature is inestimable too. His numerous valuable works have already had their worthy place amidst the Armenian national classics.
Levon Ananyan also enjoys high esteem and honor in Artsakh where the great writer is known as a devoted man of the national liberation movement, who took an active part in fair introduction of the Artsakh issue, the making Nagorno Karabagh Republic recognizable to the international cultural circles.
On behalf of the Artsakh Republic people, authorities and myself I express my sincere sympathies and condolences to all the relatives and friends of the deceased and wish courage and tenacity.
