With the support of Orange France more than 1,46 MLN € donation pledges were registered during the Phonethon

For the fourteenth year running, Orange is partnering with the Fonds Arménien de France for its Phonethon charity appeal.

In France, the volunteers of the Fonds Arménien de France benefit from the know-how of Orange, as it has made its telecommunication and IT platforms available for them, in particular in its call centres in Cachan, Lyon, Marseille and Toulouse. In addition to this technical support, this year the Orange Foundation has also contributed 60,000€ to this initiative.

From 21 to 24 of November, 750 volunteers of the Fonds Arménien de France made calls to more than 50,000 families and organizations, which resulted in a total 1,460,000€ pledged, a +4% increase compared to last year’s results. 1 240 000€ out of these donations were registered from France, 62 000€ from Germany, 77 000€ from Switzerland, 23 000€ from Greece, 11 000€ from Belgium etc.

Proceeds from the Phonethon will go towards funding agricultural projects in the Tavush region, constructing 16 community centers in Karabakh and projects of support to Armenians from Syria.

In Armenia, the Telethon will take place on November 30. Orange Armenia also gives its customers the possibility to make donations, by sending an SMS to 7733 number or by calling 090008000. With 1 SMS or 1 call Orange customers will donate 500 AMD.
