Meeting between Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh

On January 20 the meeting between Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Karen Mirzoyan took place in Yerevan.
During the meeting the sides discussed the results of cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Artskah during the previous year and the scheduled work for this year in that direction.
Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Artsakh summarized the efforts towards the progress in peaceful settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue in 2013 and touched upon the current state of the negotiation process caused by the destructive position of Azerbaijan.
In the context of the provocations organized by Azerbaijan on the border with Armenia and on the line of contact with Artsakh, Ministers Nalbandian and Mirzoyan also discussed the attempts of Azerbaijani diversionary groups to invade Nagorno-Karabakh which resulted in the death of Sgt. Armen Hovhannisyan. Ministers assessed the attacks of the Azerbaijani side as another expression of provocative and irresponsible policy and as an effort to undermine the upcoming negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan scheduled for this week.
