YEREVAN, MARCH 16, NOYAN TAPAN. In 2009 the Armenian Development Agency (ADA) had the opportunity to launch investment projects worth 2.3 million USD and sign export agreements of 1.8 million USD, ADA Director Robert Harutyunian said during the March 16 press conference. In his words, in 2010 the agency changed its work style. A new concept was approved, by which the ADA's development in two main directions - investment attraction and exports promotion shall take place in various sectors. "Several investment programs are envisaged for 2010: we attach importance to high technologies, agriculture, energy, construction - we mean production of new building materials. The same is true for exports: we will try to find new markets for our companies and will continue our work on exporting domestic goods to traditional markets," R. Harutyunian said. According to him, Armenian companies aim to enter the Iranian market. It was mentioned that at the January sitting of the intergovernmental commission, the ministries of economies of Armenia and Iran were assigned to prepare a free trade agreement. ADA is examining the opportunities of entering markets of Arab and Scandinavian countries. It is planed to visit these countries and present offers of Armenian companies there.
