Mosfilm Non Stop and Hollywood Non Stop: melodies from popular movies were presented

On 19th of December Mosfilm Non Stop program premiered. The State Youth Orchestra of Armenia presented to the audience soundtracks of popular movies produced by "Mosfilm". The concert hall was overcrowded by older and younger generations of spectators who enjoyed soundtracks of "Beware of the Car", "Ivan Vasilievich Changes a Profession", "Irony of Fate", "Diamond Hand", "Gentlemen of Luck", "Mimino", "17 Moments of Spring" and many other movies. The concert was accompanied by demonstration of scenes from movies and winged phrases of the characters.
Artistic director and principal conductor of the State Youth Orchestra of Armenia - Sergey Smbatyan notes that “Non Stop” project by its format is meant to show that classical music is not a complicated one and people can easily understand it. “The full concert halls during these projects are talking about the success of the idea and about the quality the Orchestra is performing”- said Sergey Smbatyan and added that the concert programs are focused on the selection of the most popular films and music, as well as on melodies and ideology. “Mosfilm Non Stop includes masterpieces of composers who are considered classics already; Giya Kancheli - the soundtrack author of our favorite “Mimino” and many other compositions that have been introduced by the world's top orchestras, Mikael Tariverdiev - Armenian composer who created melodies for numerous soviet popular films and many others”.
During the event singers Gayane Hovhannisyan, Sargis Bazhbeuk-Melikyan and Kim Sargsyan presented songs which have gained popularity and love of the audience due to movies.
In the framework of this concert Sargis Bazhbeuk-Melikyan presented the song from “17 Moments of Spring” written by Mikael Tariverdiev. The singer says that this song stands out by its original melody. He also mentioned that all the Soviet films are very impressive to him, starting with “Kidnapping, Caucasian Style” and up to “Ivan Vasilievich Changes a Profession”.
On December 20, the Youth Orchestra twice performed the audience's favorite Hollywood Non Stop Project in Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall. The famous film soundtracks were presented with a new video, light and sound effects, as well as new songs were included in the concert program. In particular, were presented “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Gladiator”, “Schindler's List”, “Once Upon a Time in America”, “The Godfather” and other Hollywood melodies.
