Statements by the Azerbaijani side should not be commented on, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters, after Friday’s Cabinet meeting.
“After how they behave for 20 years, is it not apparent that there is no need to comment on what they say?,” asked Kocharyan. “They say one thing at the negotiating table, [but] then make a completely different statement.
“So far provocations are made, [there is] shooting at the [Karabakh-Azerbaijan] line of contact; the negotiation process cannot move forward. It is indispensable to introduce mechanisms to investigate incidents at the line of contact, as well as to expand the capabilities of the monitoring group.
“As a result, an end must be put to provocations. Only then will it be possible to speak about concrete results.”
